Curtain Call: An Evening Where You Are Someone Else

There are game nights you know. Dice are rolled, cards are drawn, someone wins according to fixed rules. Curtain Call works differently. There are no dice here, and no puzzles. Instead, each of you gets a role, a goal, and a room full of people who want exactly the same thing as you: to win, in your own words.

What is a Role-Playing Dinner?

Most people know the murder mystery dinner: a murder case, distributed roles, an evening full of suspicions. Curtain Call belongs to the same family, the role-playing dinner, but it takes its own path. Instead of a single case with a predetermined solution, each person receives their own secret objective in addition to their official role. What happens in the end depends entirely on how convincing, skillful, or cunning you were during the evening.

No script dictates who wins. You decide that, with every sentence, every question, and every answer.

The Idea Behind It

Curtain Call's tagline is: "Be someone else for an evening." That's exactly what it's about. You are not yourself at the table, but a judge, investor, founder, or witness, with your own story, your own interests, and your own reason why the outcome of the evening matters to you.

This dual structure, public role plus secret objective, is the core of every edition. It ensures that no one is just playing a character, but making real decisions: Do I reveal what I'm really planning? Do I trust the person next to me? Do I exploit my weakness or hide it?

Who is it for?

Curtain Call is designed for groups who want more than just another game night. For people who enjoy performing, negotiating, bluffing, and reading between the lines. No prior role-playing experience or preparation is needed; everything necessary is in the materials distributed before the evening.

It's played with four to eight people, aged 14 and up, at a regular dining table. No stage, no costumes needed, just the willingness to immerse yourself in a different role for a few hours.

Digital, but with a Real Material Feel

All editions are released digitally. Immediately after purchase, you get access to all materials: role booklets, cards, everything ready for self-printing. No waiting for shipping, no dusty warehouse stock. Nevertheless, the materials are designed to feel like real documents, not just a simple PDF.

One Brand, Many Stages

Curtain Call is designed as a series. Each edition transfers the basic principle to a new setting: a courtroom, a pitch night, and in the future, more stages. What remains is the feeling that each edition should create: to truly be someone else for an evening, with everything that entails.
